The Russian government has said it will react to the expansion of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) alliance's military infrastructure to Sweden and Finland now, though insists it has no problem with those countries.

Swedish planes are in pursuit of four Russian jets for violating the airspace of Gotland Island in Sweden's Baltic Sea.
In addition, the Sukhoi SU 27 and Sukhoi SU 24 are considered to pose a serious threat because they carry nuclear missiles.

In addition, Saab Gripen has strengthened a new missile launcher system that makes Russia worried if this aircraft enters its territory.

Saab has received an order from the Swedish Defense Material Administration (FMV) for the development and integration of a new launch system for Gripen C/D and Gripen E.

The order, valued at approximately SEK 400 million ($40.5 million), was placed during the first quarter.

The order includes the development and integration of a new launch system for air-to-air missiles and countermeasures pods on the Gripen C/D and Gripen E. The contract also includes options for a subsequent order of the launch system series.

The launcher can be integrated with existing pylon variants and can carry all Gripen air-to-air missiles.
