After The Rain, by Terje Rypdal, imagined as a violin piece.

I bought my first copy of After The Rain in April 1980, so thought I would celebrate the 40th anniversary by posting this.
Last year I made a fairly accurate MIDI transcription of the original, but was never entirely satisfied by the virtual guitar's sound, nor by any of the "more honest" synth sounds I tried instead. More recently, I tried again, using instruments from the Presonus Symphony Orchestra; still artificial, but I quite like the result.

The video uses photos that I took in Edinburgh in the early 80s (except for one in Abingdon); I would often look at, or walk through, these views whilst listening to Terje Rypdal, so they are a personal pefect fit.
