Casablanca and Imperial Rabat (Capital of Morocco) full day tour with Norwegian Shore Excursion

Our tour started with an hour's drive to Rabat, the diplomatic capital of Morocco. We learnt about its rich history and visited some of the historical sites. Had a wonderful lunch at a beautiful Moroccan restaurant and tasted some of their local snacks and freshly brewed mint tea. On our way back to Casablanca, we had an orientation tour of the vibrant city and visited some of its tourist attractions. Overall a worthwhile day to spend time in Rabat and Casablanca.

Completed in 1993, Hassan II Mosque was commissioned by King Hassan II. It was built by Moroccan artisans from all over the kingdom. The mosque stands on a promontory looking out to the Atlantic Ocean. The minaret is 210 metres (689 ft) tall and 60 stories high (2nd tallest minaret in the world) topped by a laser, the light from which is directed towards Mecca.
