This has been an emotional time. I have cried happy tears for my 15 year old son who is embarking on an adventure of a life time. He was accepted aboard the prestigious Norwegian school ship, MS Gann. The ship is based in Stavanger, which is a 10 hour drive from home. We will only get to see him on school holidays which is really hard. Never would I have imagined having to let my young teenager out into the world so early. It is a lot to take in, but I know he is in loving hands.

I have such a wonderful impression of the teachers, crew and leaders of Gann. There seems to be such a good environment aboard the ship and I think our son will make friends for life.
I hope to inspire you with words from my heart in this video. If you are experiencing the empty nest syndrome it is important to take care of yourself. Be there for your kids, because they still do need you. Embrace their happiness and help them through their challenges.

Tommy and I also processed this years honey. Our oldest son worked together with us as a team and we were able to get the job done with effiency. I am so proud of our bees and taking care of them through the seasons is very rewarding.

We spent two weeks on the road with our old truck and camper. It was a great way to end the summer before school start. I love spending precious moments with my kids and husband. The scenery was breathtaking. We took the coastal road on the way to the ship and the mountain passages on the way home. You will get to see how diverse the landscape is here in Norway.
I absolutely loved the beaches of Jæren outside of Stavanger. White sandy beaches and rolling waves. It is completely flat there, which was very suprising to see. The contrasts of the nature here is so diverse. There is so much to see and I look forward to many more sightseeing roadtrips together with Tommy.
