Erling Haaland's Confirmation Song: Tribute To The Premier League & Champions League Hero.

In this video, I pay tribute to Premier League & Champions League Hero Erling Haaland with Erling's very own Confirmation Song.

Erling is one of the most famous and loved football players in Norway. In this song, I share with you the story of how Erling's own father give this song for Erling's confirmation when he was 14 years old. Thank you for watching!

Seven years ago, Øystein Ellingsen and Johan Mihle Laugaland had a radio broadcast together.
It was a Friday towards the end of April. The following weekend was the first big confirmation weekend in Stavanger.

Laugaland and Ellingsen, thoughtful as they are, offered "confirmation song service" live on the radio.
One of the first callers was Alfie Haaland.
He had forgotten to write a song for his son's confirmation the following day, and asked Johan Mihle Laugaland for help.

- It's absolutely perfect. A free song would have been great. I didn't really intend to have it, but the offer is too good to pass up, Alfie told me on the phone.

Laugaland got some tips, and during the broadcast the song was ready. To the melody of "Little Foggel" by Vamp (well-known Norwegian band), came "Little Erling".

What is Confirmation?
Confirmation is a special church service in which a person confirms the promises that were made when they were baptized. If you were baptized at a christening when you were a child, your parents and godparents made these promises on your behalf. As a young person or adult, you may be ready to affirm these promises for yourself and commit your life to following Jesus Christ.
