Returning home on another 1000 mile day in the Diamond DA42 Twinstar. Leg 1 of the day flying from Helsinki International (Finland) to Stavanger Sola Airport (Norway).

Good weather at Helsinki Vantaa, with the destination of Stavanger suffering with some early morning coastal fog (forecast to lift within limits at the time of landing). Beautiful scenery en-route flying over Finland, Sweeden and the Norwegian Fjords.

Great Scandinavian Air Traffic Control giving directs along the whole route. Originally cleared for a Standard Instrument Arrival (STAR) into Stavanger but that quickly changed following a last minute runway swap. Following a Search and Rescue Sikorsky S92 on the ILS.

2020 DA42, Registration N42LR, equipped with the Garmin G1000 NXI avionics. Use of Flight Stream, Garmin Satellite Weather and GWX 68 weather radar. Aircraft equipped with Flight Into Known Icing protection.

Use of Foreflight to aid flight planning and for Jeppesen Charts.

Pilot Headset is a Clarity Aloft in-ear headset.
