In 2010, Kitron established a facility in China to follow customers globally and provide them with a more competitive cost alternative. South of Shanghai, in Ningbo city, greenfield operations started with 700 sq. m. and 10 employees.

A group of experts and a few customers from Automotive and Medical fields had a substantial influence in building a flexible, high quality and efficient factory. Over the years, a substantial amount of investment was put in to state of the art equipment and processes, thorough recruitment, and a strong development process of employees, with high standard and demanding customers, resulting in a transformed factory that is flexible, cost-efficient and agile to service providers supported globally by the Kitron Group. Having a wide range of cost-efficient services including automated PCBA and assembly lines combined with the wide scope of technology in industrialization and testing areas, KEM is able to cover unique, high mix, complex or various volumes under one roof helping customers to win and focus in their markets.

Having the regular focus on developing as a company, last year KEM has upgraded, optimized and doubled the manufacturing area up to 8000 sq. m., where 220 motivated and highly skilled employees are performing daily tasks for challenging customer and markets.
