The year 2017 was divided into exploring more of the northwest coast of Norway, island-hopping in my homeland, the Philippines, and travelling to Tallinn in Estonia – an underrated place that deserves more attention and tourists. The Old Town of Tallinn belongs to UNESCO´s World Heritage list since 1997, and it is one of the best-preserved medieval cities on the Baltic Sea.

On a personal note, Estonia has significance in my husband´s life, because his mother used to donate hundreds of socks, caps, mittens, and gloves that she knitted herself and sent to a charitable institution in one city in the countryside -- for many years. Not only that, she also sent used clothes (sweater, jacket, pants, etc.) that were repaired if there were minor damages, and then also washed. There were some that were almost brand new. All of those warm clothes were collected from family and friends from her own town and even from other areas. Her house then was sometimes full of the goods when the big trailer from Estonia came to pick up the donations.

Velkommen (Welcome/Mabuhay) to another trip down memory lane folks!

P.S.

I dedicate this episode to my very kind and giving mother-in-law who passed away, a year ago, on Oct. 28, 2020. Bless her soul!
