We arrive by sailboat on Norway’s eastern coast after a rough 70 nautical mile vigorous sail from Ellos Sweden.

We have been planning for our time in the Norwegian waters for many months and we have finally arrived. We visit the darling towns of Lyngør and Arendal and moor against one of the many docks provided at the protected island of Furøya (near Sagesund and Tvedestrand. We then sail by the southernmost point of Norway and anchor near the town of Mandel then make our way around to the quaint and remote town and harbor of Sogndalstrand. Sailing around Norway’s southern coast was incredible – we hope you agree.

Join us next time as we enter the large bay dominated by Stavanger and the Lysefjord – our first official fjord visit! cross over from Sweden’s west coast to Norway’s east coast. We have a very rough ride but arrive at a lovely harbor and immediately begin exploring some very special Norwegian towns.

Hope you enjoy!
