SALVAGE SAILBOAT - Getting our Project Boat to a DIY Marina! | Expedition Evans Ep 4

Turns out the marina that is storing our salvaged sailboat is very nice and comfortable- problem is they don't allow DIY repairs and don't love that we had 2 dogs. So after last week's drama of getting our slightly leaking sailboat launched - it's time to find somewhere new. We leave the protection of the marina and sea-walled bay and head to a more hospitable yard! This is our first time handling this large of a boat (Beneteau 49) and now we're in the open ocean (although never far from shore)!

We can't wait to get started on the biggest project we've ever been a part of.

Here's what we *think* we know about her past. Keep in mind we bought her at auction without ever meeting the owner! The owner was sailing along and ran aground - hard. Hard enough that the keel pivoted and pushed the aft end up into the hull. This force cracked the internal grid in several places and broke a portion of the grid free from hull.
