Taking on Norway: DØDSING | With Jendrik Sigwart

Jendrik is challenged to take on Norway's extreme sport: Dødsing. Jendrik travels to Oslo and Drøbak to learn how to death dive from World Champion Ingrid Bru. How high does Jendrik dare to dive, and would you dare to døds?

"Døds", or death diving in English, is an amateur diving style and has been around in Norway since the 1960's. Since 2008, the Døds World Championship has been held annually as an informal competition at Frognerbadet in Oslo. The death divers are to fly horizontally with their arms and legs extended until they curl into a fetal position just before entering the water, landing first with their feet and hands to avoid serious injury. Dives are judged on how long the diver holds the original pose. There is also a Freestyle døds, where the divers do various tricks during air travel.

"Taking on Norway" is a YouTube series where Jendrik steps out of his comfort zone with different challenges, while he travels through Norway and meets Norwegians who are experts at what they do.
