North Cape (Norwegian: Nordkapp; Northern Sami: Davvenjárga) is a cape on the northern coast of the island of Magerøya in Northern Norway. The cape is in Nordkapp Municipality in Troms og Finnmark county, Norway. The European route E69 highway has its northern terminus at North Cape, which makes it the northernmost point in Europe that can be accessed by car and makes the E69 the northernmost public road in Europe. The plateau is a popular tourist attraction. The cape includes a 307-metre-high cliff (1,007 ft) with a large flat plateau on top, where visitors, weather permitting, can watch the midnight sun and views of the Barents Sea to the north. Es liegt in der nach ihm benannten Kommune Nordkapp auf 71° 10′ 21″ nördlicher Breite, 514 Kilometer nördlich des Polarkreises und rund 2100 Kilometer südlich des Nordpols. Das Nordkap ist seit 1999 der nördlichste vom Festland aus auf dem Straßenweg erreichbare Punkt Europas und mit seinem Wahrzeichen, dem Globus, ein bedeutendes touristisches Reiseziel. Capo Nord (Nordkapp in norvegese) è un promontorio/falesia che si trova sulla punta nord dell'isola di Magerøya, nella parte più settentrionale della Norvegia continentale, nella regione di Nord-Norge, compresa politicamente nella contea di Finnmark e più precisamente nel comune di Nordkapp. Il suo nome è dovuto all'esploratore inglese Richard Chancellor che così lo battezzò, dopo esservi approdato nel 1553, durante la spedizione per la ricerca del passaggio a nord-est[1]. A Capo Nord, è presente un centro turistico costruito nel 1988 sull'altopiano.
