Merdø is a tiny island in the south of Norway off the coast of Arendal.
Each spring Nightingales (Luscinia luscinia) come from Africa to breed on the island and for six weeks you can hear them sing with their clear and beautiful song each night.
After listening to Sam Lees "Singing With Nightingales" I decided I wanted to start this in Norway. This is the recording of a pilot from June 2023. Unfortunately we weren´t able to record while playing but you hear the original bird song from that night on Merdø. Kirsten Falch who recorded and created the video, added my song "Deep Peace" from my album "The Road Less Travelled" afterwards so you get an idea of what it sounded like.
