Hans Ivar Hanevik is a gynaecologist at Telemark Hospital where he sees patients who require medical assistance to become pregnant. Several of his patients need assisted reproduction technologies such as in-vitro fertilization (IVF) to conceive. As these technologies work at the core of human reproduction, Hans Ivar is interested in how assisted reproduction affects human evolution.

Alongside his work with helping infertile patients, Dr.Hanevik is a researcher at the Norwegian Institute of Public Health, a current member of the Norwegian Biotechnology Advisory Board and past head of the Norwegian association for assisted reproduction.
Hans Ivar Hanevik is an obstetrician at Telemark Hospital where he sees patients who experience difficulties in becoming pregnant. To treat his patients he often uses Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) such as in-vitro fertilization (IVF). These new technologies could potentially have consequences for the children born via these methods. As such, Hans Ivar has also worked as a researcher at the Centre for Fertility and Health to find out how this change in reproduction could affect our well being. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
