Hiking to Briksdal Glacier, Olden, Norway // Sky Princess Norway & Iceland Cruise

The second port on our Princess Cruises Norway & Iceland voyage on Sky Princess was Olden, in Nordfjord. The weather surprised us - mid twenties temperatures and sunshine all day! We took the Glacier Express to the Briksdal Glacier and climbed to the lake at the top - it was even sunny enough to inspire a paddle in the glacier lake and fjord water!

I was told it was a walk to the glacier but be warned, it's steep in parts! Wear sensible shoes! I got a few funny looks for wearing a dress but luckily had my trusty FitFlops on.

The climb took about an hour, and it was about 45 mins coming back down - be aware if you're on a self-booked cruise excursion!

Before going back to the ship we stopped in at a Coop to check out the gluten free options.

Our sunny sailaway featured the iconic Love Boat horn and waving off from local house plus a speedboat party!

Sailing down the fjord gave us some beautiful scenery and our first glimpse of midnight sun! ????
