Mid day in summer here in Norway when sun is out, means harsh light. So, how to photograph birds in harsh light? I have a way to get around that. So you can photograph birds even in that condition. One of my favorite lighting way to do bird photography is the bird in shadow and background lit up by the sun. That creates great and stunning pictures. You get that vibrant color in the background, and bird perfect exposed.
This time I had to visit the dipper one more time. But I forgot my ghillie blanket, and needed to improvise my camouflage. I used the rain-cover from the tragopan blind to cover myself. And it worked.
