At the northernmost point of continental Norway is this small peninsula (on the coastal island of Mageroya) called Nordkapp (North Cape). To get there we had to first reach the small fishing port of Honningsvag which is about 34 km by road to the south of Nordkapp. One thing you can't see in this short video is the extreme wind that seems to blow constantly at Nordkapp, to the point that we needed to hold on to each other not to be blown away. Both Honningsvag and Nordkapp are, of course, far into the Arctic Circle (over 71 degrees north latitude), but the climate is moderated along Norway's coast by the the relatively warm Gulfstream that flows from the Caribbean northward and across the Atlantic right up the coast of Norway - and even beyond this point along the neighbouring north coasts of Finland and Russia.
