Results of the Norway Chess Tournament 2022 Round 5 - one of the world's strongest chess tournaments - with armageddon playoffs! Anand vs Carlsen was the star game today. Vishy had a won game, but sadly he had to go into playoffs, lucky classical game for Magnus! In the 5th round in Stavanger we had again a lot of draws in the classical games, that's why we saw some thrilling armageddon games. India's Vishy Anand is still in the lead, because he was able to beat World Chess Champion Magnus Carlsen in the armageddon! The Norwegian is now in second place - followed by Wesley So, he is also in very good form again! I also answer the question, If Praggnanandhaa plays in Norway Chess....

The 2022 Norway Chess Tourney (10th edition) takes place from May 31st to June 10th in the city Stavanger (Norway), a true chess metropolis.
This great chess event is featuring World Champion Magnus Carlsen and his predecessor Vishy Anand. Kasparov said once, Norway Chess is the "Wimbledon of Chess".
It started with a nice blitz event. The Winner was: Wesley So!
