No doubt that #1 thing about Norway is its nature, however you cannot put mountains, woods and waterfalls in your suitcase and bring them home. So what to bring home as a souvenir and what would be the best present to give yourself or loved ones from Norway? Here is my #1 tip for you all - NORWEGIAN SWEATER.
Norwegians are famous for their sweaters, but in most shops you will find machine knit ones. No doubt, those are also precious and wonderful (especially those who are made in Norwegian factories), however if you are after authenticity then the best investment would be to buy a hand knit Norwegian sweater. I have heard that they are long lasting, super warm, cute and cosy. I mean, historically sweaters like this protected Norwegians in the harsh weather conditions, so I guess this proves a lot.
The thing is - nowadays it might be very difficult to find a shop where you could buy authentic Norwegian knitwear (made with Norwegian wool, with traditional Norwegian patterns & knitted by Norwegian hands). In most cases they are now created at home and not sold. BUT HERE I FOUND A PLACE IN BERGEN WHERE THEY SELL THEM!
